The Last Grand Master – New Cover – New Sale Price

LastGrandmaster[The]_FBbanner_DSPP

When DSP Publications decided to re-release The Last Grand Master as part of taking the entire Champion of the Gods series, I didn’t think to ask about a new cover, so when Book One was re-released on February 10, 2015, it had the same cover as the first edition. But then I sent in my request for what I wanted in the cover for The Eye and the Arm and to do what I wanted for Book Two, we needed to redesign the cover for Book One to keep the theme consistent.  What you’re about to see is the result.

For those who don’t know how getting a cover works, DSP Publications took my input and paired with a cover artist – AngstyG in this case. The artist and I discussed my general idea and she got to work. I’ll be honest, the end result was all her. She gave me some choices, but with just a few minor tweaks, Sam came up with the theme for my books.

The only issue with the new cover was we’d released Book One a few weeks ago with the old cover and now we were coming back with a new look. Sadly, that couldn’t be helped. I think you’ll agree the new theme is amazing and it will be easier to sustain over the life of the series. But what to do about everyone who bought Book One with the old cover?  I asked DSP Publications if they’d consider running a .99 cent sale on the book and they agreed.

From now until Book Two is released on April 14, 2015, The Last Grand Master will be on sale for .99 cents.

The Last Grand Master

Champion of the Gods #1

In a war that shook the earth, the six gods of Nendor defeated their brother Neldin, god of evil. For three thousand years, Nendor and the Seven Kingdoms have known peace and prosperity and Neldin’s evil was nearly forgotten.

But then Meglar, wizard king of Zargon, unleashes the dark magic of the underworld and creates an army of creatures to carry out his master’s will. One by one, the sovereign realms fall as a new war between the gods threatens to engulf Nendor.

Leading the opposition to Meglar is Grand Master Farrell. Young and untried, Farrell carries a secret that could hold the key to defeating Meglar—or it could destroy the world.

Farrell is joined by Nerti, queen of the unicorns and Miceral, an immortal muchari warrior the Six have chosen as Farrell’s mate. As Farrell and his new allies make plans to counter Neldin’s evil, Meglar forces their hand when he invades a neighboring kingdom. Rushing to help their ally, Farrell and Miceral find themselves in the middle of the battle. Cut off from help, Farrell attempts an untried spell that will either turn the tide or cost he and Miceral their lives.

The new cover looks really nice. I don’t know which I like better if I was to choose, thankful I don’t have to, lol. Love the sites new set up too.

Thanks HB. I know which of the two covers I prefer, but I suppose that was obvious. And I’m VERY happy with the new site. It’s even easier to use than the old one and so many more whistles and bells. 😀
