Cover Reveal – A Heart for Robbie; by JP Barnby

Today I’m doing something special for a friend.  She wrote a book that was very personal for her.  It has some meaning that she will share with her fans and readers in due time; in her time.  But JP is a rather wonderful person, a real angel among us. She published an entire line of books so she could donate the royalties to homeless LGBT youth, she created a website written by a YA character so LGBT youth would have a place to go and read about other kids like them and to feel safe; and she never judges.  Everyone is someone and everyone matters. When she asked me to help spread the word about A Heart for Robbie it was an automatic …

Guest Author – Tempeste O’Riley – Desires’ Guardian and a Giveaway

Welcome, Tempe. Why don’t you start by telling everyone a bit about yourself. I’m a mom and author, but first and foremost, I’m a mom. I spend my days writing and helping my kids with school work, their hair, and to be happy. I’m one of those weird mom’s that thinks my job is to help them become healthy, happy, and productive members of society, lol. I don’t dictate their education goals though. I have one that wants to be a chef, one a vet, one a princess, lol… And that’s just my boys. I love to read all kinds of books and am a proponent of Bi/Pan/Omnisexuality. I am always disheartened when I see how few stories in the …

Update Part 2 – New – and Not So New – Works in Progress

These Works In Progress (WIP – not to be confused with Wayward Ink Publishing’s WIP) updates are always a bugger for me. I have such good intentions, but never seem to have the time to finish anything. BUT – this time I have some news without hopes or best intentions. This time, I actually have completed stories to announce. (Shocking, yes I know.)

New Release: Heart Knot Mine: By Lily Velden

Lily’s been a bit busy with some new things she’s doing so she didn’t stop by to promote her new book – [insert really sad face here] But that won’t stop me from giving it a bit of a plug.  Heart Knot Mine is a really good book. I’d recommend it to everyone.

Guest Author – Kim Fielding

Thanks so much, Andy, for letting me visit here today! This is the fourth stop on my blog tour to discuss my new novel, Pilgrimage. And since my characters, Mike and Goran, spend the book on a pilgrimage, I thought it would be fun for us to follow along. Having been zapped to an alternate universe, Mike must visit a series of shrines to a death god. The second shrine he visits is at a cemetery outside the small village of Ugolin: Just past the village, a narrow pathway twisted through a flower-speckled meadow and skirted a small hillock before passing under an elaborate iron archway. Mike thought this was strange, because there was no wall or fence, just …

Holiday Blog Event: Elizabeth North – Christmas And Pokemon

Andrew invited me to participate in his holiday event, providing the theme of family and kids. My mind immediately ran to the myriad of experiences a mother of four has after spending 20+ years “holiday-ing” with her kids. Josh’s first Christmas, when a roomful of twenty adults sat looking at each other from six a.m. until noon because the one-year-old was still asleep and a mother never wakes a sleeping baby. The year PJ (3) and the cat curled up in matching boxes and feel asleep under the tree. The first year Asia (18) brought a male guest to Christmas morning and my husband felt the immediate need to clean all his guns at the kitchen table. The year the dog got tangled in …

New Releases: Monday August 19, 2013

All authors face the same daunting task – how to get their book noticed. In an effort to help some of my fellow authors, every Monday I’m going to post some of the numerous new books that have been released. For the most part these will be M/M Fiction with a heavy bias on Romance. That will probably evolve over time, but for now that’s were it is. I’ve not read everything that is listed, though I’ve probably read or will read many. Which means inclusion on the list isn’t an endorsement or suggestion. You should read the blurbs provided to see if you’re interested. I’ll post reviews to books I recommend under the ‘Books I Reviewed’ tab. This is …

Spent The Day at DC OutWrite LGBT Book Festival

Everyone has to start somewhere, so today was the first book festival I attended as an author – remind me when I introduce myself not to use my real name. DOH!  Several other authors who’s book are published by Dreamspinner Press were also there; Shira Anthony, Marguerite Labbe, Ken Murphy and H. B. Pattskyn.

Purpose Pre-release Give Away(s)

I don’t think I can honestly say I’ve been quiet about the release of Purpose. I mean, I’ve been on three blogs, had them reposted on Facebook and tweeted them. I even remembered folks  a couple times when one was ending and a new one began.  To be honest, with all the ‘views’ I’ve gotten, I expected more people would sign up for something free. And it’s not just an eBook. I’m trying to give away a $15.00 gift certificate to Dreamspinner Press. That way if you already bought the book or if you don’t want the book, you can just take the money and buy whatever you like in Dreamspinner’s store. And you can enter multiple times. Each blog stop …

The Next Big Thing – Blog Hop

Tag I’m It. 😯 Being new to a group is an interesting time. Everything is fresh, unknown and you get the chance to poke around and discover new things.  But for the not so bright – insert befuddled picture of me here – here’s a bit of advice. When you see something new and shiny that looks interesting – do NOT raise your hand and say ‘yeah, I’m in.” The ‘Next Big Thing’ blog hop was one of the ‘new and shiny’ things I discovered when I got my spiffy new ‘admit one’ ticket to the Dreamspinner Press author group. Before the rational side of my brain had a chance to realize what was happening, the ‘ohhh lookie, shiny’ side …
