Purpose – The Re-Release

Purpose available for sale or for free on Kindle Unlimited. Get your copy of Purpose here: With the return of my rights, Purpose is the first of my books to be re-released. I’ve decided that until I get a better hold on self-publishing, I’m going to be re-release all my titles only on Amazon. Once I get the infrastructure in place on my site to be able to sell directly, I’ll make it available in other formats. Purpose is a difficult story to shelve. It’s urban fantasy, but it’s not shifters nor super heroes, not mutants, magic nor people with mental abilities. But it has a bit of all those (well maybe not magic). William Morgan is host to the …

Book Two Of – ‘Champion of the The Gods- – Is Done

Kinda. Sorta. Maybe. Hopefully? So After many months of start and stop, of rewriting while trying to keep the story intact, I’ve finished the rough draft of Book 2 – The Eye And The Arm. Those who’ve followed my blog know I struggled with this. Not because I didn’t have the story set, but because I had to make the story fit within a word limit. I’m having second thoughts now.  Overall, I feel the Champions series is good – dare I say very good, though I know the hubris of saying that.  My issue is I wanted it to be a bit more epic. Nendor has three main continents – Ardus, Laudria & Erd.  My goal was to make each …

WIP Updates

It’s been a while since I’ve done any kind of update and since I’ve had a few questions recently about the sequel to The Last Grand Master, I figured I’d post something. My goal is to try to do these once a month, so if you’re interested, keep an eye out. The Eye and the Arm – Champion Of The Gods Book 2: This one has bedeviled me some.  When I originally wrote COTG it was going to be a 4 books series.  The original Books 2-4 were about 550K words unedited so they would roughly end up between 300-350 words.  But those are not the appropriate numbers in the publishing world I’ve learned. 120K is about the max a …

Review by Mrs. Condit and Friends Read Books of Purpose

Mrs. Condit & Friends Read Books – Review of Purpose Posted by Lucky on July 25, 2013 Someone died tonight. An innocent. Someone who should have lived. I felt their death. I feel the innocents who die. They call out for vengeance. GENRE: M/M RATING: 5 Sweet Peas! “This is the beginning of an incredible adventure from the mind of Andrew Q. Gordon, who I first met when I did the review for (Un)Masked where he teamed up with Anyta Sunday. The blurb grabbed me and held me tight. The story did the same.” Read the full review on Mrs. Condit & Friends Read Books:

Mel’s Review of Purpose

This review really captured what I was hoping to achieve with the book. Reprinted with permission of the reviewer. Mel’s Review Posted on Goodreads July 2, 2013 5 Stars Link: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/647506474 When I was 2/3 of the way through this book, if you had asked me what I thought of it, I would have said it was a very nicely written character driven novel. The focus was primarily on the two MCs and their developing relationship. Ryan is down on his luck; thrown out on the streets by his family because he’s gay. Gar (Will) saves Ryan from street thugs intent on robbing and killing him. Gar has never intervened in a crime in progress before… his usual gig is seeking vengeance …

Purpose: Review by Zipper Rippers

Purpose by Andrew Q. Gordon M/M Supernatural/Paranormal Dreamspinner Press 5 Stars “This is one of the most original books I’ve ever read. I don’t think I’ve read anything quite like this before.” “It’s a gritty, sometimes dark story, but always gripping and you keep reading wanting to know what happens next. I don’t want to say too much else in case I spoil it, but it was a wonderful, engaging read.” Read Annette’s complete review on Zipper Rippers: Purpose: By Andrew Q. Gordon
