November ’14 in Pictures.

Just a few pictures from the month.  Sadly I have none from Thanksgiving this year. I’ve no excuse, but I’ll do better for Christmas. 🙂 There are pictures of us cooking, at her tumble class, making pie for Thanksgiving (that’s as close as I got to the actual day), from the DC Area MM Romance Readers Meet Up today and her class pictures.  Enjoy.   -AQG

Free Fiction Friday: Second Shot – The Senior Year – 40

Free Fiction Friday: November 14, 2014: Second Shot – The Senior Year: Chapter 39 The perfect weather did little to lift Blake’s mood as he and Ethan walked across the quad toward his dorm. Ethan’s presence should have helped, but his boyfriend didn’t approve of them slipping in to get some things while Brett was out. “I’m not pretending it didn’t happen, you know.” Blake wondered why he tried again. “We’re holding hands on campus. How is that avoiding the issue?” “You’re avoiding him.” Ethan lacked any of his usual happy go lucky demeanor. “No, I’m not.” He stopped until Ethan turned to face him. After the hard played soccer match early, Blake was tired. And that usually meant cranky too. …

Halloween And More

A few pictures from the end of October with, yes, her Halloween Costume.  We tried to get pictures while we were out, but nothing really came out well and we were with the neighbors so we couldn’t stop and take too many tries. The last picture was from today. She had to get dressed up for picture day.

Free Fiction Friday: Second Shot – The Senior Year – 39

Free Fiction Friday: October 31, 2014: Second Shot – The Senior Year: Chapter 39   “He can’t do this.” Dean paced back and forth. “It’s not allowed.” Darryl swallowed a mouthful of water and nodded vigorously. “What Little T said. Just talk to campus housing.” “They might kick him out of school if I do that, Darryl.” Blake struggled with why that thought bothered him. This was Brett’s issue, not his. Wasn’t it? Dean raised his hands above his shoulders in a shrug and leaned forward. “And we should care that Graydon will have one less douche bag on campus, why?” “It’s not that simple.” Blake turned his head to avoid Dean’s stare. “We’re… we were friends.” “Friends don’t act like that.” …

GRL ’14 and Me – In Pictures

This was my first GRL and well I might have taken a few too many pictures, but I had a great time and I wanted to share a few (yes, there are way more than these).  The videos didn’t fit in the gallery so I added them at the end.   J.P. Found a new way to draw attention to me. It was. . .interesting to have this happen all the time. 😀 Seeing Amy Lane at the signing, well, we got a bit carried away. If there was a better way to end GRL, I can’t think of what it would be.

GRL ’14 – Odds and Ends

I suspect most everyone who reads my blog knows I’ll be going to GRL (Gay Rom Lit) this year in Chicago as a Supporting Author. [That’s a fancy phrase for ‘relatively new author.] (Sorry, Fancy Nancy is ‘lil q’s new favorite and we say ‘that’s a fancy word for’ a lot these days as we try to expand her vocabulary)  Whew, talk about a digression, where was I? Oh yeah, GRL ’14 updates. Focus. First, I was asked to be an “Honorary” member Team Prism’ Countdown to GRL ’14. Sounds glamorous, no? So of course I said yes. Turns out the honor really is all mine.  I get to run the anchor leg of their GRL Author Flash Fiction countdown.  So tomorrow my …
