‘lil q update

Out for a drive

Hi!

Wednesday ‘lil q finally had the surgery to put in the ear tubes. After weeks of doctor visits and coordinating schedules, surgery took all of five minutes. It was over so fast, they told us not to leave the waiting area because we wouldn’t have time to even get a cup of coffee.  They were right.

In the three days after, it seems she is speaking more and clearer. That is saying something as despite being the youngest in her toddle class, Isobel’s language skills are as good or better than the other kids.

I added some pictures that show, before, right after, on the ride home, and five hours later.  We’re all glad it’s over and she’s doing well.

Here’s a link to the pictures: Surgery

With my girls too, ice cream fixes everything!

    You know she’s adorable, right?

Aaaaaw! What a sweet face. I’m glad she’s doing better. 😀 I had a hernia when I was three while my family was living in Japan. All I really remember is going to the nurse’s station and demanding to see my Mommy, and the Japanese version of Sesame Street on the TV. Sidenote: Japanese Sesame Street is seriously nightmare inducing messed up.

    • Children’s National plays 3 stations – Disney, Disney and Disney lol. But at least it wasn’t nightmare inducing for kids, just their parents. I learned that Mickey and friends do a hot dog dance – I’ve not mastered it yet, they have mouskatools – don’t ask, it’s mind bogglingly stupid, and kids still love Mickey and friends. 🙂
